About
The Malvern Hills Community Foundation was set up in 2005 by Laurie Gregory to build up a stable endowment fund which would produce an income for distribution within a defined area and would support local needs. In 2020 a bequest from the estate of local resident, Alan Kay, ensured that the Foundation receives a regular income which is now available for distribution. Grants from the Foundation may be made within 10 miles of land managed by Malvern Hills Trust but excluding areas with Worcester City boundaries.
Eligibility for a grant?
Grants are available to support individuals, groups and communities in need, within the defined area. The applications for grants will be considered by the Trustees on a regular basis. Applications should be made on the Grant Application Form but direct applications for urgent need may be made by letter or email in exceptional cases.
Trustees
The existing Trustees would welcome expressions of interest from persons within the areas covered by the Foundation to be considered as Trustees. We would value those with experience in finance and social care and a knowledge of specific need within their community.
Donations and Bequests
The Foundation wishes to build on the endowment funds to enable it to increase the income available for distribution. Donations are invited and should be made to the Treasurer care of the Foundation. Should you wish to consider making a bequest in your will, please contact the Chair of the Foundation via camphill@supanet.com
